Katie Reese, M.Ed., LPC

Katie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who came to NewCircle after a decade of proudly serving as the Director of Counseling and Support Groups at the Magic City Wellness Center and Birmingham AIDS Outreach. Her goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, affirming environment in which individuals have the freedom to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences as they work to become their most authentic selves.

Katie is trained in brainspotting and utilizes an integrative framework comprised of humanistic, trauma-focused, and culturally-informed practices to effectively meet the needs of clients. She is a member of the Alabama Chapter of Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (ALSAIGE).

During her personal time, Katie enjoys traveling, live music, spending time with her three dogs, and exploring all that Birmingham has to offer.
