The East Bay Ruby Meetup Group hosted an event back on July 20, 2010, where Wolfram Arnold gave his presentation "API-based client/server applications with TDD and ActiveResource."
In his presentation, Wolf demonstrates the basic use of ActiveResource along with a plugin, HyperactiveResource that adds ActiveRecord-like associations.
