The Next Challenge of the Web is Us

A lot has been done in recent years to move the web forward. But, in some of our current development practices, are we just spinning our wheels? Christian Heilmann argues, that, certain technological paradigms we subscribe to today are slightly missing the mark, “A lot of what we do right now seems like innovation and moving forward, but is in essence what has been done before and discarded later when technology moved on.”

What are we doing right, and more importantly, what should we stop doing? How can we make the web we rely on better, faster, more accessible to millions of new developers and publishers?

Christian is the Developer Evangelist for Mozilla and has spent nearly two decades working to improve the web. In this keynote for Forward JS, he notes, “Let's move forward remembering how we got into this and what got us excited.”
