Old Code, New Tests: Testing at Eventbrite

Eventbrite has been around since 2007. At that time there wasn't much of a testing culture to speak of, but they began testing their code as they simultaneously adopted django. Today, with a bigger team that builds on a more complex architecture (that includes services as opposed to a single monolithic app), they've adopted an attitude that “tests matter.”

Nathan Yergler, Principle Engineer at Eventbrite, says “This talk is about how we've taken this code base, that's been around for quite a while, and built a culture of testing around it.”

This is part 3/6 in a series on Advanced Django Patterns at Eventbrite and Lanyrd. You can find the complete series in this post.
